Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment
Orthodontic appliances promote the accumulation of plaque and tartar. Oral hygiene routines become more complex, and maintaining motivation among younger patients can be challenging.
That is why I offer preventive care adapted to orthodontic patients, helping prevent cavities, enamel demineralization, and visible stains at the end of treatment. Regular hygiene follow-up is key to achieving a healthy, beautiful smile after orthodontic treatment.
Children
Each step is explained with care to build trust and reduce anxiety. During the visit, we take the time to demonstrate proper brushing techniques according to the child’s age, level of dexterity, and stage of dental development.
A plaque disclosing solution may be applied to help the child see areas missed during brushing. This is an excellent interactive learning tool.
Fluoride is applied to strengthen the teeth against cavities. In addition, at the end of the appointment, a small gift is given to the child to recognize their cooperation and positively reinforce the experience.
